Your Instructor
Hi! Since childhood, I have also been fascinated by history and the stories that I heard from my elders sitting around a camp fire in the central mountains of Donnelly, Idaho where I was raised. Wow! These are experiences I will cherish for the rest of my life, but I just wished I had recorded them!
The stories I heard inspired me to study archaeology, history, and film making at the University of Oregon in Eugene and earning a Ph.D. in Anthropology. I am also a member of the Association of Personal Historians. Thus, as a trained and experienced visual and dynamic story teller, I want to help you rediscover the stories of your life so that you may pass them on to your children and grandchildren before they are lost.
Don’t make the same mistake I did when I had ample opportunities to record the joys and struggles of my grandparents and elder aunts and uncles, but didn’t take the time to document who they were and the important contributions they made to the world. But it is not too late for you!
I would love to hear your personal stories and glad to help you share your heritage with your family.
